After years of success, Chicago's bicycling community website (www.thechainlink.org) is rolling out it's first fundraiser to ramp-up the site and bring you more of the best rides, routes, and trends on two wheels. Chicagoans make life-long friends through The Chainlink, recover stolen bikes, join racing teams, swap gear, seek riding advice, advocate for better transit, promote businesses, and routinely add to "the pulse of the cycling scene."
And now The Chainlink needs our help. 4 years running strong, the website needs a major tune-up. With 3 weeks to go, The Chainlink is almost half-way towards its goal of raising the $15,000 needed to build a better website. Check out the array of bicycle gifts you will receive to a thank you for your contribution, including t-shirts (getting a tiny one for my 3 year old), jerseys, caps (by Kozie Prery!), books, and bags. Plus, for top contributors, a never-before-seen Celebrity Bike Ride with CDOT Commissioner Gabe Klein, NPR's Jerome McDonnell, or Randy Neufeld of SRAM and the former Chicagoland Bicycle Federation.
Thank you for supporting bicycling in Chicagoland and The Chainlink.
